A Special Police Office (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir police was injured after his service rifle went off accidentally in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, sources said on Saturday.
The incident happened at Zainapora Shopian, they said. Mohammad Amir, posted at Police Station Zainapora sustained injuries after his service rifle suddenly went off, SSP Shopian, Ambarkar Shriram Dinkar told Kashmir Reader.
Amir was shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment however he was stable.
